Reel Memories brings learning to life through fishing, exploration, and hands-on experiences on the beaches of Northeast Florida. Our youth programs use the excitement of fishing to spark curiosity about the ocean, the environment, and the science happening all around us.

Fishing is more than casting a line and waiting for a bite. Every trip to the beach is a chance to explore, experiment, and discover. Kids learn real fishing skills while uncovering the science behind the surf, the fish they catch, and the coastal environment around them.

From fish biology and coastal habitats to weather, waves, tides, and conservation, Reel Memories encourages young anglers to ask questions, investigate what they see, and discover the science happening all around them.

Reel Memories started with a simple goal: get kids outside and give them something exciting to do away from screens. What began as fishing with our own kids grew into years of helping young anglers discover the excitement of the surf. Along the way, fishing became more than catching fish—it became a way to build curiosity, confidence, an appreciation for conservation, and a deeper understanding of the coast around us. Today, Reel Memories brings those experiences to more young anglers through hands-on adventures built around the thing that started it all: going fishing.
